Tauri Laws-Phillips: Global brand marketer, program director for SKU(CPG accelerator), diversity consultant, and co-owner of ColdTowne Theater
Tauri started her career in media and worked her way to Digital Director at Mediastream Media Group, then Southwest Media Group. Her last time in the corporate world was running Marketing Communications at TIGI Haircare owned by Unilever. In 2015 Tauri began Giggle Beauty, consulting and building beauty brands all over the world. During her career, she worked with an array of cultures and found a passion for helping people work better together. In 2016 she combined her love for teaching improv comedy and this passion for helping people work together, she developed diversity, allyship, and bystander intervention courses with the goal of leaving attendees empowered and energized. She has trained companies all over the country including Facebook, Indeed, Yeti.
ColdTowne formed in March of 2005 from members of two Comedy Conservatory student teams in New Orleans, Louisiana. After Hurricane Katrina, a handful of ColdTowne’s original eight members fled to Austin, Texas, building a group mind that bordered on codependence. Bringing decades of performance, teaching, and management experience from the likes of Boom! Chicago – Amsterdam, The Second City (Chicago and Cleveland) and Improv Olympic (Chicago), ColdTowne is: Tauri Laws-Phillips, Rachel Madorsky, Dave Buckman and Justin York, and a staff of some of the most talented, dedicated humans on the planet. ColdTowne Theater teaches, entertains both the public, corporations, and for private events. Our community of performers includes over 2,000 actors, comedians, and writers all over the world.
