Community Relations Project Coordinator
AMA’s Community Relations team is responsible for three of the chapter’s most important and valued programs: Mentorship, Collegiate Relations, and AMA Impact. In this role, the Community Relations Project Coordinator will align with the directors of each of these teams to support programs. This may include assisting with the pairing process for mentorship, the operations of the collegiate job fair, or the support of National Volunteer Week in late April.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of AMA Impact to plan volunteer service projects
- Support the Director of Mentorship with logistical and matching support and/or the awarding of Mentor of the Year/Protege of the Year
- Assist the Director of Collegiate with the Internship Job Fair coordination
- Assist with all CR events day-of as needed to include problem solving and communication with organization staff
- Attend monthly Community Relations team meetings (1 hr) and additional meeting requests when needed
- Administrative duties as assigned
Commitment:
● July 2024 – June 2025
● Serves 1-2 hours per week
Qualifications:
● Active AMA Triangle member (required)
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
● Ability to work cross-functionally, coordinating across a large, dynamic organization with multiple board members and committees
