Director of AMAImpact

AMAImpact focuses on three pillars: donating money, donating time, and donating marketing skills. The Director of AMAImpact will lead a team of 3-5 individuals and work closely with other branches of the AMA Community Relations team to ensure our Chapter is making an impact in the Triangle. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Lead team of 3-6 volunteers focused on planning and executing the three pillars of AMAimpact
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local nonprofit and service organizations
  • Oversee fundraising and other opportunities to raise funds that support the work of AMA Triangle
  • Work closely with the VP of Community Relations to identify volunteer opportunities throughout the year (hands-on and skills-based volunteering); lead the planning of member volunteer projects with community organizations
  • Host meetings (in-person or by phone) as needed with team and lead discussions on planning and execution of communications and event planning needs related to AMA Impact
  • Collaborate with AMA Triangle volunteer board to schedule communications and identify opportunities for integrated programming
  • Manage the AMAimpact email box
  • Attend monthly Community Relations team meetings (1 hr) and additional meeting requests when needed
  • Administrative duties as needed

Commitment:

  • Serves 2-3 hours per week 
  • AMA Triangle runs on a fiscal year (July-June)

Qualifications:

●    Active AMA Triangle member (required) 

●    Ability to train and lead a small team of 3-4 people

●    Experience with Basecamp preferred 

●    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

●    Ability to work cross-functionally, coordinating across a large, dynamic organization with multiple board members and committees
