Hi AMA community — how is everyone doing? Hopefully you’re acclimating to our new environment with COVID-19. That said, sending everyone good vibes.
Our AMA Triangle volunteer team has been acclimating too. From a volunteer management perspective, that was pretty easy — we’ve always done our AMA Triangle work remotely (highly recommend Basecamp if you need a full platform). But we have missed our in-person team meetings and we’ve REALLY missed seeing you all at our events. As you likely know, we’ve postponed our March, April + May in-person events.
BUT…this volunteer team is working to make up for this with more webinars, blogs and content (more to come on all of this). We even tested a volunteer social. And then we circled back to a little idea we’ve had since the beginning of the chapter year…
A Slack community for AMA Triangle members!
We had it in our backlog until we could improve the website experience (accomplished in February, woo!). Then COVID-19 happened and it became even more imperative that we deepen connections within our community, so here it is. Our hope is that this becomes our member’s go-to place for asking questions, connecting with fellow marketers and staying up-to-date on the latest trends…especially when we can’t see each other IRL.
Get the full details here, including how to get your invite.
And as always, please do not hesitate to reach out to us on anything. We’re here for you + this community of rad marketers. That’s literally our core mission — support, nurture and help marketers in a community that values a sense of belonging + a place to learn, grow and thrive. These are crazy times, but we got you.
Sending our best + hope to see you on Slack!
Tracy Russell-Beck + the AMA Triangle Executive Board
PS — if you’re not a member and have some FOMO with the Slack, no worries. Get membership details here (more news on that next week) + let me know if you have any questions at info@amatriangle.org.
